Sales to Minors Results in 45-Day Ban at CV Safeway July 2, 2009

Beginning next week, the big Safeway supermarket at Redwood Road and Castro Valley Blvd. will “go dry” for 45 days for selling alcohol to underage consumers during a series of decoy operations.
From July 9 through Aug. 23, all alcohol beverages including beer, wine and hard liquor will be off limits to Safeway shoppers. Store officials may either remove the products from their shelves or post signage announcing the suspension. more
