Nice investigative work Forum. Get out hopes up that flu shots are available in Castro Valley (with a front page article) when they are not. Then pull the article off the website without an apology. Don't want any negative press I guess. You really should take the good with the bad if you want to be respected. From now on, my Forum is going directly from the driveway to the recyle bin.

Today I received a letter for [DONATIONS] for this $22.3 million monstrosity, it seem the so-called library was built but seems they need donations for, for the inside , this is criminal they tell the tax payers how crowded the old library was and a new one is desperately need for $22.3 million , but need donations. This is a criminal act perpetrated on the tax payers and needs to be looked into. If they havent even opened there doors yet and need donations already, just how are they going to run this thing? I know how, WE NEED MORE MONEY. Robert

And now mentioned above the new library that cost $22.3 million cannot even afford bicycle racks. Get ready for a continued raise in property tax , just to keep this thing running.

I think this new so-called library is a criminal act against the tax payers of Castro Valley, $22.3 million for a library? I think when this place finally opens, the voting tax payers, will see just how much of a waste of there money, that was suppose to go toward a library that was spent on other things. If you intended this place to be a convention bureau with a library, that is how it should have been worded, on this huge bond issue we [ the tax payers]have to pay for . I think youll be able to get away with this type of deseption for some time until the voters wake up , and then you wont be able to pass anything. I just hope that your going to sell the old library and repay the tax payers.

Another unhappy Castro Valley customer with Waste Mgt. services. I am surprised that our residents have not taken the oppurtunity to sound off with the new policies that have come to effect. I feel that we have been incriminated by the way Waste Management is so brash with handling the sorting issues. It is perposterous to be fined for a service that we already pay for and yet to convert our homes into mini rufuge recycle center for someone elses finanancial gains.I invite fellow residents to comment on this issue. Green is good if it is done right.
